Taxi

Taxis in Veliko Tarnovo are yellow and you can catch them in the street by waving a hand or by telephone. The standard procedure is to dial the number on your mobile, hear the first signal and hang up. The operator will then call you back.  The charge is 0.80 leva initiall fee (0.40 euro), and 0.60 leva (0.30 euro) per kilometer. In general, a trip shouldn’t cost more than 6-7 leva.
